Guillame and Amber: Magnificent stay

Hi Cynthia, We visited your castle on the 26th of January and found is fantastic. Sorry, took so long to get back to you, we have been quite tied up with University work. Our budget is tight so we are thinking to do several thins ourselves. We are looking at a maximum of 100 peoples from the states, france and the UK. The things that we would like to take care ourselves are: catering, all stationary, photography, floral, DJ, and all decorating. We would source all this ourselves and setup the majority of it. The things we would like help with: finding a paster, having help for some setting up on the day, hairdresser, and the bride would like to ride in on a horse. The time we are thinking is a saturday in July 2013. We would possibly want an earlier checkin the day before for setting up purposes. We also agree that it would be very beneficial to discuss things over Skype. If you could tell us what would be a good day and time for you, we will make sure to be available. Our biggest concern is about budget. We are attempting to manage a simple event but that also meets our personalities. So we would really appreciate frequent updates on our budget situation on your side. The castle is exactly what we were imagining on our special day. Best regards, Guillaume and Amber.

Dan Swelt: Wonderful stay

Hey Cynthia - We had a WONDERFUL time! The chateau is truly beautiful - a really unique experience. All of the rooms were gorgeous - we stayed in the Romance Suite and were particularly impressed with the bathroom. We enjoyed meeting Zeus and Fabian was a wonderful host and chef (we ate in-house both nights). We're anxious to go back - we had spent the past few days touring the Loire chateaux when we arrive at Challain and really felt like we should have skipped them all and just spent the extra time there. Thanks for making such an amazing place to visit - hopefully we'll be back soon and get to meet you next time! Best, Dan

Kelly Ashton: What a wonderful trip

Cynthia, Thank you so much for the lovely upgraded room. It was so cozy and quiet. We had such a great time on our honeymoon. Your chateau is very beautiful and your staff were friendly, helpful and made our stay that much better. Our favorite staff member would have to be zeus. The first day we were there I got up early and wanted to go exploring but I couldn't figure out how to open the front door. Zeus, who was waiting patiently by my side, saw my frustration and got up, gestured for me to follow him and then ran to the back of the chateau to where the big giraffe head is. He hit the window with his paw and pointed to the knob with his nose. I was able to get out that way, and then Zeus showed me all around the grounds. He's such a good boy :) We will definately come back someday. The food was amazing (and we usually ate too much ;)

Thanks for asking and everything went well during our stay! Hommer, Rachel and Brigette (? hope I get her name correct) are very kind and helpful. We enjoyed the food, ambience, room, etc. in the Chateau. Everything is amazing! What a pity that Gillian and I cannot meet you during our stay and thank you personally! Gale and Vlad Maly: Our Fairytale Wedding

Dear Cynthia, now, that Vlad and I are back in London and the wedding euphoria is finally fading, i would like to say THANK YOU again to you and your team for making our wedding day truely unforgettable and fairy-tale like. In the past month Vlad and I managed to briefly visit our family in New York and Jerusalem, and all they talked about was the wedding and how perfect it was. i know that you do this almost every weekend, but it really felt like our wedding was the one you planned all your life, the way you would plan your own daughter's, that's how personal and special you made everything feel. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with others, we cannot wait to come visit the chateau again, after the wedding season is over. :) Everything- the decor, the organization, the food, the flowers, the fireworks! was absolutely superb! my family is completely in awe with you and with what you've created. Thank you for making my dream wedding come true! I wish i could relive that day one more time, i guess that's where the wedding video comes in.

Bent and Jeanette

Hi!   We had the dream wedding we wanted at Chateau De Challain on the 22nd of July!   Cynthia  Nicholson is very professional, and made sure that our wedding day was perfect. Everything from decorations, cake, food, fireworks, photographer +++ was better than we could imagine.   The chateau/castle is like a Disney-castle, and is the perfect setting for a wedding. All our guest and ourselves were thrilled by the beauty of the venue.   We can recommend Cynthia Nicholson and Chateau De Challain to anyone who want to get married!   Best regards Bent & Jeanette
